At 13 I be suffering from migraines, dizziness and fatigue. My doctor had me budge through a full allergy testing and found that I be allergic to almost everything, and had a hyperthyroid. At 14, I go through the radioactive iodine therapy. It lowered my level to hypothyroid and I've been on thyroid hormone pills ever since, and will potential be for the rest of my life. It took more or less 16 years for my levels to regulate, I've be on the same dosage for 4 years presently. My menses have be irregular all along.
I have to get the level checked every 3 months at first, then every 6 months until I be 18 (when females stop growing, levels fluctuate less), and consequently yearly since. I get them checked a few times while I was pregnant to fashion sure they were staying stratum (pregnancy can throw it off).
There are many problems associated beside unbalanced thyroid hormone level. It can affect your metabolism, weight gain/loss, digestion. It can affect other hormones and can hold side effects like menopausal hot/cold flashes (I've have a lot of these since I be 15), irregular periods, and infertility issues and miscarriage (high risk). I finally have a son at 31, and I'm lucky to have him.
Make sure if you are on thyroid hormone pills, you transport them regularly. If I go singular a week without them, I am so fatigued that I can only just function. The doctor said that if I had gone two weeks, I would hold been hospitalized. Get lots of repeats on your prescription, so this doesn't take place to you.
The pills are about matching size as birth control, and you usually take one a daytime.
Both the radioactive iodine and surgery, kills element of the thyroid. They try not to have to do surgery anymore, but I know a few elder people who own had it done years ago. They have a huge scar on their neck. With the radioactive iodine, I had to drink a juice, then hold my blood taken every half hour for three and a partly hours. The worst past be having to hold the thyroid fluid tested. They put a needle into my collar, and into the thyroid. I had to progress to school beside a bruise on my neck the size of an ginger, it lasted for nearly two weeks. My peers be trying to convince me to sue. It was fairly embarassing, especially in grade 8. (The doctor told me not to move, but my reflex went crazy, my right leg and arm shot straight up, nearly hitting the surgeon and intern.) My own failure, well sort of. lol!
I hope this help! It isn't so bad. As long as you preserve your levels monitored and whip your pill every day, you should be fine. Take caution!

I want to give myself an orgasm?

I have to go to the doctor when I stretched my collar. But he couldn't fix it.

I am a guy who just needed to ask the gals why they be aware of the need to answer question in the mens condition side?

My mums got a thyroid problem, she get really skinning, and one day when she go to the doc for a check up the told her, there wasn't anything seriously wrong near her previously, she just draw from dizzy sometimes, well what i know from this is that in that are two type, one when you get really skinning and the other when you put on weightiness...

The doc has to recount you which one you have, but when you dance on the medication everything will be back to conventional, its like a chronic infection, but make she you call on the doc cause thyroidism can front to you having a goiter (if i spelt that correctly) the huge lup on your d??colletage...

Can sex cause a bladder infection in Women?

Hi Tracy,
I, too hold hyperthyroidism, and it turned into Graves disease
I do agree with almost every entry the lady above me said, except for me...along next to being hyperthyroid. It turned into Graves disease & cause me to have Exopthalmus eye disease...which cause both of my eyes to swell up and pop out..kind of looked approaching i was glaring because they be so swollen....and sticking out... just similar to a pekingese dog...it was so miserable for me because i have no energy at adjectives.i couldn't do one sit-up because i was so lacklustre...and my body temperature be really hot all the time.you could hold your hand just about 2 inches away from my skin and then have a feeling the heat radiating from my body.also i be always so HOT that adjectives i did was sweat & sweat & sweat some more...and my period were never ever regular sometimes going 3 months in between or 6 months. I finished up getting pregant at 19 because i never knew if i be or was not going to own a period.so i couldn't hold track.
my uncle is a doctor and we went up for a call in one time....he walked contained by his back door and took one look at me
and we turned around and go back to his clinic and he did bloodwork on me and sure ample i was hyperthyroid=Graves disease beside exopthalmic eye disease.
the weird item was ... i have HYPOthyroid symptoms...so yeah, you could say i be a real mess. anyway, he referred me to a doctor contained by La Jolla and long story short..I drank a radio-active iodine cocktail that dissolved my thyroid gland over a period of one year..i have to keep going backbone for bloodwork and i was put on a medication call Synthroid. My dose kept being in step until i reached a everyday level and i hold been taking Synthoid since i be 19 and i am now 60 years prehistoric. I want to wish you the totally best of luck with your thyroid disease and may God bless and hold you safe and natural. Luv, Sweetness #1

What happens if clutch birth control on your period?

well i also have Hyperthyroidism and Grave's disease ( bulging of the eyes)! some of my symptoms were coyness, trouble breathing, anxiety and weight loss. ultimaltely i go to the dr. because i had a bump on my d??colletage & about 3 days since the dr.'s appointment i had a really fruitless anxiety attack & couldnt breathe so i ended up contained by the hospital. the Dr.'s knew right away i have Grave's disease because of symptoms!
however, symptoms vary from pereson to soul but a blood test will endow with u the answer! Sometimes if they catch it precipitate u may only enjoy to be on meds for a short time to see if it will symmetry itself w/o further treatment. I had a thyroidectomy- cut of my thyroid was removed- because i have the goiter. some other options be radio active psychiatric help and of course medication (14 pills a day i think). so i be kinda nervous nearly any radio active analysis due to my young age & opt for surgery. i have be on synthroid ever since and have to drop by teh Dr. regularly. You learn to live w/it, in that are many ppl who suffer from this and u will adjust eventually. Good luck!
