Severe Headache after surgery?
I had a endometrine ablation and D&C done 1 week ago. I hold since had a piercing headache. The Dr. have given me some migraine meds which do help. I own to take them every light of day. I have never within my life have this type headache before, nor enjoy I ever had to purloin migraine meds I was wondering if these headache could be from the anesthesia or if this is something that will pass next to time? I have within the past have surgery and anesthesia was administered but it did not own this effect on me. Please help!

could be...keep surrounded by mind that each surgery is different. I woke up fine two times and after I come out of my middle surgery I was sick. could hold to do with the amount of time that you be actually beneath. I was below once for 5 hours and that is when I woke up fancy ill. speech to your doctor if it continues into next week. save for that I don't know what else to really say.

could be the anesthesia..but that normally wear off within a couple of days. If your surgeon or doc isn't concerned than go capture a 2nd opinion..or be firm near him/her. Tell them you didn't have headache before have the surgery..why now? No call for for you to suffer more than you should have to. Also hold you been getting any nouns..like going outdoors? man cooped up, can cause anyone to hold migraines.
For a week-long headache, I'd bug the heck out of the doctor to see what's going on.

Did you hold an epidural? If you did, you may have a spinal overflow. It happens sometimes. And that can produce a bad headache. You inevitability to call your surgeon. You might enjoy to go contained by so they can do a blood patch. They just thieve a little of your own blood and inject it where on earth they put the needle for the epidural and it will patch the tiny hole. It's not a big agreement and it's so tiny you hardly be aware of it. I've had two epidurals and it happen both times to me.If not, then yes, anesthesia can do it. But not for a week, it's usually right after surgery and I don`t know a few days after. If it continues, get a second judgment right away.
i have an 11 hour surgery and my headache lasted 3-4 months. and it be caused mostly by the anesthesia. if you have a spinal fluid leak of any benign, your headache would be "gravitational", which means if your lying down you wouldn't experience any helpful of headache, but once you get up you will be dizzy near the headache. i experienced all of this. sorry you don't touch well
