Birth control pills are hormone-based. And since libido (sex drive) is chemically based and hormonally-based in the brain, when you throw in extra chemicals the indiscriminate exists that your libido CAN be effected. This is a certainty...not fiction.

If you think that you're have this problem, it might be most directly related to the level of synthetic estrogen within your pills.

You should talk to your doctor.but I would recommend a mono-phasic pill (the type you're currently using is a tri-phasic). There are literally dozens of formulations available, it may basically be a matter of experimenting till you find one that's pious for you.

Period symptoms come and now in attendance gone and no period, wat up?

Hi - I have been on Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo for 3 years and really like it - I did experience the same problem as you which I brought up to my doctor. He didn't mull over it had anything to do next to the pill.

If it'll help, since later I've switched to the generic version of Ortho-Lo, TriNessa. I'm still experiencing impossible to tell apart problem. I don't think it's the BC...

I've done research on this issue, and I ruminate you should review your lifestyle as a whole. I regard as in MY grip, it's stress caused by work and deficit of exercise. My energy height is generally low because I work tardy and cannot EVER find the time to work out. Whenever I'm on vacation, (getting plenty of sleep and no stress) I spy that my problem is gone. It's definitely stress contained by my case. A LOT OF THINGS can effect this problem, although hormonal imbalance is one of them. If it's really worrisome to you, I'd speak to your doctor.

Good luck! :)
