Only beside exercise. It causes gas and bloating. I once sit a Tupper Ware container of slim fast, that I have drank, in the sun. After 10 min.s or so the suns boil caused the gas inside the container to expand and to explode. 3 of us get a Slim fast shower.

Maybe for some it is and not for others. I tried it for a long
time but never lost any weight. I didn't stipulation to lose much, but
when I just give up carb for a few weeks I dropped 5 lbs rather speedily. It is less expensive too.
