I tried inserting a tampon for the first time today, but I've had my time of year for a few years now. I used the smallest tampon they made, but it a short time ago wouldnt go surrounded by. It seemed similar to the tampon was too huge, or something, and wouldnt fit. I couldnt get it contained by even a centimeter. Any suggestions?

If sitting isn't working for you, try squatting when inserting it. Or stand with one leg up on toilet/bath etc. The first time is other difficult. don't worry it get easiler.

Also make sure it is pointing towards your tail bone when you are inserting it.

Ha, sounds approaching the first time I tried. I can not wear them to save my existence, I would love to but I guess tampons are not for everyone. Sorry you may be stuck with pad just resembling me!

Are you sure you be putting it in right? I would make sure to read the instructions in moderation - they tend to be illustrated. It also take a lot of practice to attain it right. If you're still having trouble I would consult a doctor or even (if you're not too shy) own a trusted and knowledgeable friend serve you out.

everyting your doing sounds right,but you enjoy to be very relaxed especially the first time.Being tight and not relaxed makes it difficult for anyone no issue how long they've used tampons!

The cardboard applicator can make it harder to grip or release. Try a different type of tampon near a plastic applicator. I really like Tampax Pearl. Make sure you are relaxed and you aren't tensing your muscles when you insert it. You could also use for a moment KY to help it float into place more easily until you win the hang of it. I have trouble my first few times too, but I am a definite pro immediately. Keep trying - you'll get it :)
