Hi ending Tuesday i had a loop diathermy for Pre cancerous cell in my cervix. Has anybody else have this?

I had the Loop diathermey concluding tuesday and by friday was hunch great and was hoping to be stern at work tomorrow. On saturday i went for a stroll around my local shops and have be in cramp ever since. I was only wondering if anybody else has have this. How long did it take to restore your health and how long were you rotten work>

My Friend had this done and if took her a few weeks to find over it as she was surrounded by quite a bit of spasm with it.
she also bled a bit too.

I have this done a few years ago - I had laser treatment to start next to but that didn't work so had the loop diathermy six months next - pleased to say I own had no problems since and I've have two smear tests since the procedures and they've both come rear clear.

I was one and only off work for a couple of days. I don't remember have much pain next to it (but it was 8 years ago). But tolerate in mind they've sliced away rather bit of your cervix so there's bound to be some torment. As a thought, do you suffer with tender periods? I don't so possibly that's part of the problem. If the spasm persists for going on for another week I'd go vertebrae to the Doc for a check up, just to gross sure.

YOU MUST CONSIDER THAT THE CERVIX "WAS" ATTACHED TO OTHER MUSCLES AND NEEDS TO GROW BACK. YOU KNOW HOW YOUR MUSCLES HURT AFTER YOU PULLED ONE OR WORKED OUT TOO HARD? WELL- YOUR PELVIC MUSLES HAVE BEEN CUT INTO AND YOU NEED TO GIVE IT SOME TIME TO RECOVER. IF YOU HAVE A MOSTLY SIT DOWN JOB WITH NO HEAVY LIFTING, YOU CAN GO BACK TO WORK IN TWO TO THREE DAYS. ANYTHING MORE PHYSICAL THAN THAT... I WOULD WAIT AT LEAST A WEEK, BUT STILL TAKE IT EASY FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS UNTIL YOUR CERVIX GROWS BACK.

Do u feel gross after sex?

I own not had this but as a practice nurse, I do explain it to women occasionally. The dull pain is your body telling you that you've overdone it and to nick it a bit easier. It will settle down though. You will be followed up by the consultant appropriately and don't worry. A couple of uncomplicated weeks should see you ok. If you're still concerned, speak to your doctor or the cons.
