Birth Control?
Answers:
If the doctor think it is related to hormonal imbalance, then yes, BC will work because BC balance out your hormones by giving you a consistent dosage of hormones. If the depression is not a result of hormonal imbalance, after you will need to try meds approaching prozac, zoloft, etc to see if they will help you, because they match out neurotransmitter imbalances, which also end in depression.
(Women Only Please) What causes this?
No.Going on the pill when you own depression can make it worse.
My best friend contained by school have hormones all over the place and some times of the month she'd catch really depressed and low, she was put on BC for two years when she be 14 to 16 and by the time she came bad the BC her hormones and cycle had evened out and she be fine again.
Ask your doctor and they might be able to answer any question. BC will help, but merely if it's hormone related depression.
Do any girls here have that surgically done birth control? Not tubes tied.?
no.. it make it worse. one of the side effects of birth control is mood swings and depression. if you already have this consequently i would not recommend going on them. IF you do choose to then you want to pick one that has a steady constant flow of hormones ie the ring or the patch and not the pill.also how in the order of trying an antidepressant?
