Could be a mild fungal or viral infection if your mate have been sucking on them, or they might own simply been for a time rough and its like a blood blister or hickey.
Could be something a bit deeper, such as a cyst that is blocking one of the milk ducts and the milk is any fermenting or causing pressure on the nerves.
