Does anyone know if big haemomoglobin and haemocrit levels are risky?

One of my specialist Doctors says "no" (gynae) the other say "yes" (haematologist). I asked them to consult with respectively other but it ended up surrounded by a screaming match between the two of them. My level are way above lab normals for a man and info on the pattern suggests it is not a good situation.
