I own Mirena also. For the first six months I had seriously of spotting. I did have pay for pain and my spasm was on my right side. I go back for my follow up stop by Dr checked for a cyst on my ovary but there wasn't one. Finally the misery went away and the bleeding stopped. Now adjectives I have is a outstandingly light time of year once a month.

Swollen jaws?

I have a Copper T IUD. I be bleeding abnormally between period and have cumbersome periods persistent sometimes a total of 5 - 6 days. My doctor said that the IUD is there to prevent sperm from entering the uterus to implantation with the egg. It will and is supposed to wreak inflamation around it. This is how it works. He put me on an antibiotic for 10 days and my in-between bleeding have stopped. He said I probably just have too much inflamation. Call or go see your GYN and see what is going on. Everyone is different. My doctor even ordered an Intravaginal Ultrasound to form sure the IUD was still contained by the right place and that is when they found a ample cyst on my left ovary. I be reassured by the GYN that the bleeding be not caused by the cyst.
