Can a pediatrician perscribe bc?
I'm 17 and have an appt. tomorrow and will probably shutting down up asking about it. Will they hold to do any sort of pelvic exam/ tests/ send me somewhere else or will they lately give me a perscription?

(i'm not being rude,i'm honestly purely asking). i would say yes he/she can probable prescribe it, but I think you may be refered to your ancestral doctor or a gyno from here on out. at 17 you shouldnt still be seeing a ped.As for the exam, you are usually supposed to get them once a year after becoming sexually stirring. if you are already having sex they may want to do one right away but except then no, you won't obligation one yet. Even if you are within need of a pelvic exam though, you will potential be scheduled for a separate appointment, they steal longer than a regular appointment so.. ya. well, correct luck!

Yes, they can but most typically don't. A good doc would want to do a pelvic first to put together sure you get your unsophisticated screening done. If they don't do pelvic exams then they will probably refer you to a OB/gyn doc.May i recommend going to a loved ones planning clinic? Its free and confidential so you won't have to verbs about your parents finding out (if thats a concern). I don't know if a peditrician will or is competent to handle any of it. But if they do when u own ur script jam-packed it will go on your parents insurance and you will be responsible to rate a copay before you can obtain your pills anyways.
