I have a pill swallowing phobia... How can I stand to take my daily birth control pills?

Swallowing pills has be an issue with me for as long as I can remember. I remember the first time I ever finally tried swallowing a pill wasn't until I was more or less 17 years old. I have such bad cramps and stomach pains during my menstrual time of year and i'd take all right over the reccomended dose of children's liquid tylenol newly to avoid taking pain killer in the pill form. Now here's my tangible question: I of late started taking birth control (today actually) and the thought of having to swallow a pill on a day by day basis kill me. If I were to crush up my birth control pills and drink them in a liquid or maybe enjoy them in oatmeal within the morning would the birth control still be effective?

And incase it make a difference... the birth control brand is Seasonale.

Yes you can crush them and put them in food. Do not put them contained by liquid as they may cling to the side of the chalice. Put some sauce on a spoon and then put the crushed or unbroken pill on the sauce and swallow it all right down. I don't see how crushing the pills and putting them in red juice will drop their effectiveness. My sister used to be equal way as a child, and my parents used to crush the pills, put it on a teaspoon, and donate a little honey. Worked every time.

Have you talk to your doc about this? Because near are birth control pills in chewable forms. I am on Femcon Fe, which is a chewable form that my docotor only happen to put me on. It is fundamentally small, and it is spearmint flavored. I just swallow mine, but this may be an answer for you. And she/he will probably renovate you since you just started these pills. Call them! Also, I never liked swallowing pills any and I got an IUD. It's great for me. No pills to hold to remember to take, no pills to struggle next to...it's effective for 10 years! WOW!
I've hear the IUD can really help next to cramping and lightening your period. It's help me a great deal.
