There's definitely nothing wrong next to taking prenatals..they are pretty much the same as a multi-vitamin that you find over the counter and it's probably a really good item you are taking them. I've heard of nation taking them for hair growth and to serve their nails grow and strengthen and I've hear it actually works. If they did anything to spoil you, I doubt doctors would recommend taking them pre-pregnancy, don't you? Hope it works for you!

Prenatals would do nought to help next to hair growth. The spine growth you hear about during pregnancy is cause by the hormones secreted by the placenta. The prenatals don't affect that at all.

Yes nearby will be side effects. Prenatals often contain LOTS of iron to prevent anemia. This much iron will constipate you. There may be other side effects too.
