Why is rape a joke to some people?

I have be on womenanswers.org for only a few weeks and I am shocked by the question peopel ask about rape. I enjoy seen "Should I rape my sister?" and unwanted items like that. I am a rape survivor (four weeks ago I be raped by a man who broke into my house) so I bothers me so badly that peope can honestly post such stuff here and procure away with it? and when i see i win so mad but i am afraid of gettign reported if i teel them sour. Who else agrees with me?

While rape shouldn't be a joke, it is to some society. It's a fact of enthusiasm and probably because as humans we deal beside frightening or painful situations through glee. Some people who product these jokes are doing this. Others who fashion these jokes are doing it out of ignorance or malevolence. Given that you were raped 4 weeks ago, it's not credible that you'll be in any state to giggle at rape jokes, but that doesn't niggardly they should be banned and made unfair or something silly like that. Just don't look at them. Do something else.

I be raped 3years ago when I was 15. I agree beside you. It's not funny or a joke and ancestors don't understand.

People at institution joke nearly it. It hurts me a lot. None of my friends know what happen because I started a new college this year and I don't want people to know.

Ugh, I'm so sorry you're having to step through this. I haven't read comments like that going on for rape, but I couldn't agree more. There is nothing funny just about this topic. I don't know how they go and get away with it. It's surely shocking and something should certainly be done roughly speaking it. As a survivor of rape myself it does not help to hold this kind of cruel and sick way of life.
