I used to suffer extreamly scantily this. Firstly it could be due to your birth control type, you don't mention what you are on. I've tried numerous pills, from Dianette, Yasmine, Microlite. I've also used Depo the injection. All worked for a time, though I did find Dianette the best. I suffered very unsuccessfully from cramping with the injection and finally I also became immune to it as I still have a period on it. I've lately had the mirena coil inserted.

As for cramping headache I found a hot shower worked with relaxing shower gel and regularly squatting when in shower with the hot dampen flowing onto me worked wonders, as sometimes a bath be a lot more energy and time consuming. I also have a bean pack that goes into the microwave and I place that on my tummy, that works really all right and I highly recommend these.
But do check that it is not your birth control form to be precise causing this, it may freshly need to be changed to an alternative form.
