Why would a doctor perform an oophorectomy when assured that only a cystectomy would be necessary?
My wife, currently in the Philippines, be to undergo a standard DnC after a miscarriage. Also at like peas in a pod time a cystectomy was to be perform. No mention of a threat to the ovary was made, nor any mention of any ovarian cancer. This proceedure be to be laproscopic however my wife has a most important surgery scar. Any answers that can assist contained by the legality of this beneath Philippine law would be greatfully appreciated.

I'm sorry for your wife. but you don't imagine what the MDs can see with the body "open". they might believe that your wife want the procedure. believe. my father is a surgeon. and he's always maxim. that he only requirements to do what he really needs to do!

Try totalk to the doctors. with some mercy. but with some relutancy. and. at lowest, if you realized that the surgery be pretty necessary. try to find out if they can't solve the defect. because they never told you that it would be necessary to be done such surgery!
