Fertility Doctor? What to expect at first visit?
I have be trying to get pregnant for a year and a partly. I have never have a regular period rota (in fact this year I hold had 4 total, one surrounded by January, one in March, and two surrounded by August). I made an appointment with a Reproductive Endocrinologist (fertility dr), and am disturbed about what to expect on my first drop by. My husband will be going with me. I bursting out the paper work and adjectives that stuff that the sent me, but I'm just curious, is the first look in more of a question/answer session, or do they start doing exams and such. I'm 24 years old, be married for 2 years, and we really want to start a family. Anyone own any advice on what to expect?

first visits are mostly a history-gathering session. You fill out adjectives the paperwork and answer questions that best give the Dr an idea of which direction to step with treatment option. It sounds like the first piece they will do is ascertain why you don't have regular period and try to regulate them. They may also test your husbands count and motility as ably as the viscosity of the fluid.
Good luck to you, and don't be nervous!
We enjoy 2 kids from IVF. Good luck.
