Is it safe for a woman with ulcerative colitis to have another child if she had complications last pregnancy?

I also had giardia from camp, it showed itself since I was pregnant. I am worried I will become sick again if I win pregnant. I don't want to risk a miscarriage.

What complications did you experience? I am sorry to hear you enjoy ulcerative colitis (UC). Unfortunately, stress causes UC to flare up and mortal pregnant is definitely stressful. How long own you been diagnosed beside UC? Have you ever discussed with your doctor nearly surgical options? Surgical removal of the colon is curative for UC. Recent background supports surgery if the patient have had UC for 10+ years. UC and Crohn's increase the risk of colon cancer and thus surgical removal of the colon is an prospect. You also mentioned that you are infected with Giardia. Well, Giardia is a parasitic infection so the medication is outstandingly teratogenic (i.e. causing birth defects). The medication is toxic within itself. Take care of the infection first since anything else. Also, in the future, mind your Ps and Qs where you gain your drinking water.
