Will I get hold of breast cancer too approaching my mother did?
Answers: While it's totally normal to be upset, you shouldn't be SO freaked out. Although your odds are somewhat higher...There is still a biddable chance you will never get breast cancer...or any cancer for that business. I pray it doesn't happen to you, as I know it can be a terrible disease.
PS: Please do not listen to these fools on WomenAnswers.org.. make conversation to a doctor, or hell, even google it- you're better off that way.
Best of luck to you hunnie :) I'll maintain you and your family in my prayers..

It's important to look at the whole clan history as well as just one individual beside breast cancer in your family to capture a clearer picture of what your risk is. Women who have multiple family member may have one of these inherited mutations that puts them at significantly increased risk.
In broad, if you have one first-degree relative with breast cancer, your risk may be two or three times greater than the common population.
But other factors come into play and we can get for a time more specific about risk estimates if you know how old that individual be when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and other factor that go along with it. So it's practical to try and clarify for individuals what their risk may be. "
