Why do I maintain haphazardly getting dizzy?

Often when I am walking (It also happens when I first stand up almost every time, but I'm sure that's just because of blood rushing to my head) I will intermittently get incredibly dizzy and see spots. It terribly impair my vision and I cannot even read words, large or small prints. Sometimes it brings me to my knees, it is so overwhelming.

It habitually gets worse when I'm on my period.

Explanations? At first I thought it be just a head rush, but it happen so often and so randomly, not a short time ago when I first stand up or straighten up, but even when I'm just walking normally, that it's kinda upsetting.

Answers:    Lightheadedness happens when there is not adequate blood getting to the brain. This can happen if there is a sudden drop surrounded by your blood pressure or you are dehydrated from vomiting, diarrhea, fever, or other cause. Many people, especially as they get elder, experience lightheadedness if they get up too quickly from a lying or seated position. Lightheadedness regularly accompanies the flu, hypoglycemia, common cold, or allergies..
This could be due to insufficiency of sleep or water. Are you dehydrated? This happen to me a lot too because I am underweight, but I can't gain weight no business what I do. When I get really bad dizzy spells, I cart meclizine hcl to help out a bit (a physician suggested I have something similar to vertigo). It could also be a side effect from another medication you are taking. powerfully i went to the doctors and i kno the reason i gain dizzy alot is because of low blood pressure.. could b the same for u? id ask ur doctor
