alright, if all tss is caused by is going away in a tampon too long, how come super tampons cause a larger risk for tss? i dont capture it. wouldnt regular-flow tampons cause the same amount of risk if you quit them in for too long??

It has to do beside the absorbancy. A super tampon can hold a lot more fluid, and it's assumend that it would be used on a heavy flow hours of daylight...so you would have more mestrual flow trapped in your vagina, creating greater risk for TSS.

Changing them would cut back on the risk, as well as alternating use between tampons and pads.

TSS is completely rare though...so as long as you remember to change your tampon properly you should be fine.

yeah, if you regulation any tampon reguarly you hav less chance of getting tss, although it is in danger of extinction you still dont wanna leave anything in for longer than 8hrs.

Because the bigger tampons are bigger and they are made to soak up more blood so the risk of getting TSS is greater.
