If your looking for something long term, but reversible, go with the IUD, the copper one, Paraguard lasts up to 12 years, and the mirena lasts up to 5 years. Paraguard has no hormones if you are sensitive to them or have health problems where you cannot take progesterone(female hormone) An infant in the house.
If you want to make sure it's effective, get twins or triplets.
