I have mine done after my third child. I had more problems trying to recover from the birth than I did the tubal. I deliberate that if you are sure you do not want any more children that it is the best way to go. I didn't spot any side effects from it other than abdominal soreness which goes away.Are you really sure you never want kids? Are you ready to die old without any heir? Does your significant other feel the same means of access?

Make sure they cut and burn your tubes! I had hear of women getting pregnant after having this procedure done. The doctor that did mine told me that it is not uncommon for the tubes to grow backbone together. Now, if this happens chances are, if you bring back pregnant it would be a tubal pregnancy, and will unfortunately not make it to full permanent status.
