Pain from sex, why? ... after chemo

ok, so for the past few months I have be undergoing chemo and during the time I have have sex maybe twice and there be no pain, but now after I own finished all chemo, it hurts so bad to own sex... the pressure hurts from trying to have intercourse... also I had yeast infections that have passed and I no longer have them, it was the first time I enjoy ever gotten them too. Oh and it was hogkin's lymphoma (cancer). I don't know what information will help.

Answers:    If you’re experiencing backache during or after sex there may be several factors that are contributing to the cramp you feel. For women there are several physical conditions that may make sex hurt, including:

* Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
* Endometriosis
* Ovarian cysts
* Interstitial cystitis
* Vaginismus
* Vulvodynia
* Some sexually transmitted diseases
* Urinary infections
* Yeast infections
* Vaginal dryness
* Physical injury and chronic pain

I would recommend that if you experience twinge during or after sex that you consult with your doctor/gynaecologist for further evaluation and to rule out any serious causes.

Good luck :).
The bin liner of your vagina may have thinned from the chemo, you could be swollen inside or you could have an infection. I'd form an appt. to see the doctor. He should be able to prescribe a vaginal cream that will help you. Good luck to you :) chemo regularly puts your body into menopause which can cause vaginal dryness thus pain.

did you enjoy radiation as well?

had your docs talk to you about the effects of chemo?
