A few years ago my mother passed away of a brain tumor. The doctor she had regularly been seeing for 2 years for her outrageous migraines and loss of short term memory (before we found out she had a tumor) have told her that there was zilch wrong with her and that she was probably a short time ago "straining her eye's from looking at a computer screen all day". She told her to carry some glasses, the very subsequent week my mother had a seizure.

My parents file a lawsuit against her. At the time I was too young to diligence about the lawsuit. I'm not even sure if my parents ever got anything out of it. My cross-question is, does it sound like they have reason to sue the doctor? Or does it just nouns like a family trying to place blame on something?

Possibly not, surrounded by my opinion. A doctor sees dozens of populace every day with headache, and even more older people beside short-term memory loss. Most people with brain tumours will hold symptoms such as severe personality change, seizure etc., and it's not until they develop these that they will be diagnosed.
Also, brain tumours have a poor prognosis, even if detected early, so catching it untimely probably wouldn't have saved your mother.

However, they may be a bit more to it than you know; so we can't really sort out for sure whether the doctor made a mistake.

You need to gain access to her medical notes to find out, you do that through the hospital i believe, minus this you will not know fully what happened, maybe it is negilgence, I don`t know blame through the greiving process, as it is 2 years ago, you may be too late to do anything about it though, speak to citizens suggestion, they may be able to point you in the right direction, sorry for your loss.

If your mother passed away a few years ago ,have she come back from the dead as one of your parents. Forget give or take a few suing the docs we so our best and if now and then we attain it wrong it is because nobody gives us all the info at the time. individually I think your family is trying to apportion blame.

Are you serious? They definitely have every reason to file suit. If the doctor tried to brush it past its sell-by date as if she was straining her eyes and was not an eye doctor he be completely full of crap. Migraines and memory loss are nothing to mess with and if they verbs for long period of time should require MRI's or CT Scans at some point. If he would have be concerned sometime within those 2 years your mother would still be alive because they may have gotten to the tumor surrounded by time and been able to liberate her. This has nothing to do near placing blame, the doctor did not do his job, he is at fault, and your own flesh and blood deserves justice for this wrongful death of an innocent loved one.
