I just got the Mirena IUD for a moment over a month ago, and ever since i got it, i have be on my period. is this normal?

Answers:    i have one fitted over a year ago, yes you bleed for a good month, i mean resembling not heavy bleeding after a week just spotting. and yes the distress you experience is normal aswell. but it gets better after more or less the 3rd month, now im conforteble with it altho i have to go to my g.p to get some tablets for the distress and heavyness of the bleeding in like my 6th month but its fine very soon.
