I have been on the pill (Microgynon 30) for roughly a week and a half now and for the second couple of days i have felt really depressed. I literally can't stop crying, but i don't truly have a reason to cry! My boyfriend is currently away on holiday so i haven't spoke to him something like it and i don't want to worry him while he's away. I've never felt as gloomy as this before and there isn't anything going on surrounded by my life that could make me really miserable. My boyfriend makes me very comfortable, i just wish i know why i'm feeling so down.

Yes it could. I be on the pill a while ago and i was so depressed. I was suicidal. I own never felt such sadness surrounded by my life. It was horrible. Then i started forgetting to give somebody a lift the pill (probably because i was too busy crying!) and i realised that on the days i forgot it, i felt ordinary again. I stopped completely and am 100% better. It only took a few days for me to feel similar to myself again. I am surprised that the doctors dont mention this as a serious side effect. I researched it & found that it is quite common.
I am in a minute using the implanon implant in my arm, which i love. Stop using the pill and see if you perceive better in a week or so. You should notice a difference. Good luck.

I'm on that loving of Pill too and I've had odd days of hunch really low for no reason too. Continue taking them at least to the call a halt of that packet but if youre still depressed go onto a different type definately. Maybe it's because you just miss your boyfriend?
