Is it normal to have a sharp stabbing pain in the vaginal area when one's monthly period is starting?

Answers:    I am pretty sure it is. I just got my period yesterday and I had some sharp pains but it passes after that first day. If it contines for a long time maybe you should ask your doctor..
Sometimes, I am actually on mine right now and I have felt some pains but not a lot. The only pains I get are cramps, but it may hurt other women in different ways. To help the pain go away, try taking some painkillers, put a cold towel on your stomach, go for a warm bath, lie down and put her legs up. This will help, bye. This is from my personal experience.
