I'm told I own a UTI, what immediately?
If I drink cranberry liquid, will it actually get rid of a UTI or do I really want antibiotics? Is there any over the counter thing I could help yourself to?
Sorry for all the questions but gratitude. I'm 13 and really confused.

It is unlikely that a 13 year old will have a full blown UTI. If you can undergo with the pain and the frequency of have to pee is not getting to you too much, you could wait a couple of days. But you need to be cautious in this time, drink plenty of water (about a cup every other hour) and drink cranberry juice thrice a day, and markedly before going to bed. The longer the juice stays contained by your bladder, the more advantage it will have.Yogurt is also especially beneficial for such infections, so try and eat some yogurt as well, perchance with some fruit. Whether you have an infection or not will be determined by a urine interview called a Urine Culture. Before such a test, not a soul can tell you for sure whether you have an infection or if you'll requirement antibiotics. However, it is most important that you do visit a doctor, except today then definitely on Monday.

Yes, drink lots of water and cranberry liquid. BUT-cranberry juice that is sweetened, resembling most popular brands, will not help or may be worse. Bacteria feeds on the sugar and will singular make the infection stronger. So, make sure you buy pure, inborn unsweetened cranberry juice, and be sure to stay away from any other sugary drinks (pop!). Also, if you have distress in your bladder area, the UTI most potential has already traveled to your bladder from the urinary tract. The next step is that it will move to your kidneys, where on earth it can cause major wreckage if not treated. This takes some time of no treatment though.
Don't be panicky if you can't get into the dr. today, definitely dance Monday and get some antibiotics to kill the infection. For short-term relief over the weekend, I suggest Cystex.(from the pharmacy) That is what I used and it was great-and doesn't color your urine. Just definately go and get to a Dr. when you can. This is a very common article, especially for women!
Good luck and feel better soon!
