What type of exercises are you doing? Crunches help a lot near the tummy, but you have to build up the amount you do of them. When doing crunches, it's going to pull and burn (the burn is what you want to surface, because that shows it's working) Keep doing the crunches until you can't stand the burn any longer, take a break, then start again. Do them 2 or 3 times a daylight, if possible. Start out with 15 to 25 at a time (or how ever masses you can stand) and gradually build that number up. (keep going and do as many as you can)
It does bear time for ANY exercise to work. Just keep at it, and the results will show in time!!
