How soon after giving birth can you soundly hold anal sex?

I had a vaginal birth with no complications. I do own 1 stitch inside my vagina from my son scratching me with his staple as he came out.

Answers:    An Iranian research paper presented at a conference on Fertility and Sterility contained by 2002 found that there was an increase within the number of couples having anal sex after the birth of a baby ... so you are not the one and only couple to be contemplating this.

Physically there is no reason why you could not enjoy anal sex - assuming that you do not have any pre-existing conditions, such as lacerations to the anal sphincter from birth or haemarroids (1/3 of women come out of pregnancy beside the latter). Be aware though, that the anal tissues in a vaginal birth flare outwards as part of the birthing process and depending on how long ago you birthed, these issues could still be bruised, swollen and hyper sensitive. Think something like what it was like to hold your first bowel movement after birth?

You would also need to take into consideration the stitch inside your vagina, as anal sex will still put pressure on the vaginal tissues.

You may want to ask yourself - if you are doing it for the contentment of your partner, or because you are wanting sex. Then you need to decide if it's sex that you are both desiring or if it's the intimacy and closeness of sex that you are hungry for.

If you wish that is something that you both want and need, be placid on your body and ensure that you've got plenty of lubrication and that your partner is gentle - you are still recovering from birth! And also agree to communicate next to your partner before that it's OK to try but its also OK to change you mind.
.
After your 6 week check up is advisable, but as you have no complications, when-ever you feel comfortable. Anal ? Any time. Nonetheless - gentleness, notify and hygiene must be employed..
just to be safe still in the order of 6 weeks after giving birth. Woo HOO!
