Hey, I remember feeling awkward nearly asking my mum too, but when I did she was like "sure honey" and we go shopping to get one at the weekend, it was no big concordat =)
Try asking your mum when she first wore a bra first and then say you would resembling to start wearing one. She'll be understanding she was a juvenile once too, she knows what it's like! Or if you really can't say aloud it to your mum try talking to an older sister or trusted aunt or something and they can ask her for you.

What age are you? If she says no, your too young, a short time ago wait and show a bit more.

Don't buy one yourself though.

Or, in the shops, look at the underwear sector, and pick out say knickers with a bra set and ask. Or in recent times say, 'this ones pretty, can I get one of these please?'

Tell her you need one. But if you are only newly starting to grow breasts, you should start with a crop top. They are much better than bras, if you only hold a small chest.
