Answers: How to Use a Tampon
Not all girls hold someone to talk to when they first get their time of year. Some parents find it difficult to discuss this subject and so girls have to find other ways to find more information. When you first get your time, you have the option of using a Sanitary Napkin or a Tampon. The tampon is rather bit more complex, but once you see it and understand how it is inserted, it probably will be your number one choice to use.
[edit] Steps
1. Buy a box of tampons. There are many different brands and uses. Some for conventional flow, and some for heavy flows. Read the boxes to see which one you will need to buy. Usually the first few days are cloying, and the last few are just spotting, or fluffy flow. Make sure you read the labels carefully.
2. Squat, or sit on the toilet next to your legs apart. Hold the tampon with the thumb and middle finger the cotton end facing the vagina. Place the front partially of the applicator directly into the vagina (Make sure you are putting it inside the area of your vagina that the blood is coming out of,not at your hymen). Then use the first finger to gently insert or push the center of the applicator, {which is the cotton}, into the vagina. Pull wager on on the applicator with your fingers to remove. The cotton remains inserted with a string baggy on the outside.

A tampon may look big and worrisome, but really, what you are looking at is the applicator for the tampon. Applicators are not necessary, but for some people they brand name tampons easier to use. The tampon is the small bundle of cotton in the fat bring to a close of the applicator.

If a tampon does not come beside an applicator, use your fingers to push it into your vagina. Push as far as it will go comfortably — you will feel a resistance when it hits your cervix, which way you have pushed it all the course into your vagina and into the correct position. If the tampon feels uncomfortable, it's not surrounded by far enough. The entire tampon must be higher than your pubic bone or it will be mortified. That sounds counterintuitive, but it's true. If it is uncomfortable push it in a touch farther, or take it out and try again with a spanking new tampon. If you are nervous and clench your muscles you won't be able to bring back the tampon into the right position.
5. A tampon will not get stuck inside you, nor can it get lost inside your body (there's no where on earth for it to go)! You can easily pull it out near the string, or with your fingers if there is no string attached.
6. Remove the tampon at the appropriate time. Realize that if you surface some resistance when removing the tampon, it usually is because it is dry and can still absorb more flow. In this case, loaf a while longer so that it will have more blood as lubrication. When you first start using tampons, you won't know when it's ready to be taken out. In a few hours, transport it out by pulling gently on the string with your muscles relaxed. Soon you'll grasp to where you can feel the difference between one that's full and one that isn't. Never set off a tampon in your body for more than 8 hours.
[edit] Tips
* Tampons come in different sizes - e.g. bedside light and heavy. Choose one which is most suitable to the amount you bleed during your period.
* Make sure you resign from the string easily accessible for you to remove the tampon.
* If you are using a tampon, you do not need to use a sanitary towel as economically, though some women like to use 'panty liners' to keep them fresh.
* There is no specific time to use a tampon. But try to choose a light of day when your flow is regular, not at the very start or end of your length.
* If you are younger, start with a small, light tampon. You can other increase later once you get the droop of inserting it.
* One reason tampons are so great is because they are inconspicuous...nobody except you will know that you're on your period. Check the box to see if you can flush the applicator and/or tampon down the toilet.
* Don't forget, even though it might not be comfortable you can other ask your friends in FRONT of other friends. Don't be scared; you can do it.
* Only use a super absorbency tampon when needed. If you are on a lite flow afternoon then you should just stick to a lite or regular tampon. With a super absorbency, it will collect more germs when nothing is being enthralled as to when something is being absorbed.
[edit] Warnings
* Be aware of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). Do NOT set out your tampon in for more than 8 hours. Use a pad for overnights.
* Do NOT store tampons contained by the bathroom where you bathe. It will hold your attention the heat and moisture and make you more susceptible for TSS.
* Don't use a tampon unless your vagina is truly bleeding. If you use one while you are not on your period, it will be slightly painful and dry.
* You should never use Vaseline as a lubricant on your vagina.
* Always remove a tampon previously having sex, as this can push the tampon out of easy realize and this can be dangerous.
* If you're smaller, try using one, and if it feels discouraging, stick to pads. Younger girls should use always pad first, then switch to tampons when they feel they are all set.
* Occasionally young girls have difficulty removing a tampon. While a tampon may shift in without too much difficulty, but become stuck when it absorb thus becoming a bit larger than the opening in the hymen. Young girls enjoy smaller hymen openings. If you are unable to remove the tampon or experience distress, seek the assistance of your healthcare provider. While you may be embarrassed, it is not exceptional in young girls although most will not hold a problem.

yes, they are call slender and they are made for teenagers with smaller holes,or when you first get your spell. i cant remember what brand,(i have only found one brand.) and you own to look really hard for it to say "slender" on the box. Hey, I have the same problem as you and here's my suggestions:
If you can, try to find Playtex Slimfits. Those worked best for me. However, most of my stores don't seem to convey them anymore so I went to Playtex Sport. Try to find tampons with plastic applicators as they'll "glide" easier.
Use the regular absorbancy as they give the impression of being to be...smaller. There's not so much STUFF, ya know?
Anyways, it might take a few tries.
It's easiest to just facility it in, and push very weakly with your index finger. Your body will do the guiding and it'll go right to where on earth it should. It'll also help to aim towards your lower back and any squat or put a foot up on the toilet. The tampon will pretty much refuse to go any further and you won't know how to feel it if it's in correctly.
If you positively must, buy lubricant! I know it sounds strange, but a little bit of KY can help greatly, promise. :)
