Have you have your liner lasered (ablation surgery)?
Answers: Hello,
I just have it a few days ago. I'm not one to rush into medical stuff. I do my research and try natural methods first.
At this point and not knowing your situation; I recomend it.
Things to consider; You must be done having children.
You will still stipulation birth controle.
Different types of ablation procedures.
In my research i found NovaSure to be the latest and with best results.
It take 9 seconds And at least for me be completely painless with no recovery time. My Dr. does it within his office with local and oral throbbing meds. You walk out in 20 min. My insureance though, would singular cover it using the hospital and being put to sleep. This is where i have some discomfort. The IV, 3 hrs. of waiting to go to sugery, then getting the drug that puts you to sleep out of your system. Really even near that i slept all that day and feel fine the next.
My period go from lots of pain and flow to none, in 1 daylight. Some clear discharge still on the 3rd day but that is it.
It also showed the best results as for how all right it worked.
So weather you just need to slow a chunky flow or are trying to avoid historectomy(which everyone i know has had lot's of problems with), it seem a simple and safe option. I own been avoiding hstorectomy for 15years. I've tried many option so i could still have kids. Now my kids are in university and it is time to find a more permanent option. I hold had laser removal for indometreosis(sp?). I don't think some of the ablation(laser, freeze, ect.) are as affective as others.
Do your homework and ask your Dr. for NovaSure. If he doesn't do it ask him to recomend someone who does.
Best wishes to you;)
