Answers: that adjectives depends on when you first start having your cycle.
there are plentifully of women that skip periods, for a lot of different reason. i have read that skiping 1 month isnt a big deal but if you miss it twice contained by a row you should see a doctor.
my best friend is very irregular, but nothing is wrong next to her.
i dont think anyone can really give you a number on that because adjectives women start their period at a different age and all women own menopause and stop having their periods at different ages as very well.
if you are worried something might be wrong with you, you can go see a doctor.
if you dont own medial insurance or your too young to go by yourself, you can other go to a planned parent hood clinic no matter your age and you can walk alone and they will not contact anyone if you dont want them to.
its better not to risk your health just because you might be shy.

it should be once a month until it stops by itself and that differs from woman to woman.
some their periods stops in their 50's & some surrounded by their 60's. I don't actually think there's a definitive answer for that... sorry =).
