Does birth control help out BV or sort it worse?
I enjoy been on bc for 8 years and have have a BV problem going on 4 years. I have taken every medication out there and other seem to get it again and again. I do not douche or use anything close to that. If it is not a BV problem then it is a yeast infection. I am now going to start a 5 week treatment of Clindesse (i devise that is how it is spelled). I have granted to stop the birth control and try going with out it to see if that helps. Does anyone own any suggestions on if this will help?

Birth control pills are not associated with BV but the IUD is. If you are not doing anything to donate you BV, then you probably do not have satisfactory of the good bacteria call lactobacillus. these bacteria maintain the vaginal pH surrounded by a healthy range and inhibit the growth of BV. Some women in recent times do not have enough lactobacillus and they tend to seize BV over and over. Have you ever heard of rephresh? It is an over the counter product that is used almost 2 times a week to keep the pH normal and relieve prevent BV. You should try it. And dont use any type of perfumed cleansing products or take bubble baths..
what is bc, and what is BV?
