Does a papsmear hurt and can you take your bf in with you to hold your hand? serious answers only please
Answers: A papsmear does not hurt but can be uncomfortable. Especially if this is your first one. You will tend to tighten your muscles out of nervousness which will make it more uncomfortable. I suggest you "go to a different place" while you are on the table. Think of a camping trip your family went on. Think of a concert you just attended. Think of the fun shopping trip you are planning after you leave the doctor's office.
Leave the boyfriend at home. With him being there, you will be embarrassed and more nervous. Ask a female friend. There will be a nurse in there with you who will talk to you during the procedure, too, to help keep your mind off it.
Good luck. It's not as bad as you think. These are so routine and should be done every year, so they can't be ALL bad!!.
C'mon. You're a big girl now, you don't need anyone to hold your hand.
You're being proactive about your health and that's a good thing. Being female is uncomfortable and painful, you should be used to it by now.
Just know that you're doing the best thing for you, him, and possibly your future children..
Have you had sex before? It's basically the same thing. You shouldn't take your bf in the room with you, he should wait in the waiting room. Most doctors are extremely professional, and everything they can to make you feel comfortable. Don't worry, it only takes a/b 5 minutes! It doesn't hurt, and once it's over you'll realize you built it up for no reason! It doesn't really hurt, just a little bit uncomfortable, but it is over and done with really really quickly. It is best just to stay relaxed and take deep breaths, then you'll hardly notice it. I have no idea about taking your bf with you, I couldn't see why you wouldn't be allowed..it's best just to ask..
It doesn't hurt & it's up to the doctor as to whether or not your boyfriend gets to accompany you.
IF he wants to watch the procedure he will get a new insight into your "personality".
You'll find out what I mean, while you are having it done. .
They don't hurt. Sometimes there is a little discomfort for about a second. Some people don't feel anything. And you most certainly can bring whoever you want in to make yourself feel more comfortable. Don't worry. It is nothing. i had my bf in there but i guess it depends on the doctor doing it and if theyll let them. It doesnt hurt as in like a needle, more just realli uncomfortable
