I've just had a phone name from my GP surgery to say they need to see me to devolution my pill, because the one I am on now (Dianette) is no longer licensed as a contraceptive.

I've been on it for several years, and the principle I specifically wanted to be on Dianette was because I hold PCOS and the anti-androgenic effects of Dianette help with the excess spike growth.

I've done a bit of research and it seems like the best choice would be to rework to Yasmin or one of the other third generation pills like Marvelon.

Has anyone get any experience with pills OTHER than Dianette for hirsutism and if so, did they work?

I also have PCOS and hold been using YAZ for about a year and a partially. I haven't had any excess hair growth since using this and enjoy found that a lot of my other symptoms subsided as well.

My contraceptive cause my excess hair growth, but I found out that if I stop it, it won't go away. There is a drug call Spironolactone that is used to treat hirsutism. I haven't tried it, but I saw it on the news.
