I had implanon fitted a few days ago, and the nurse told me that a side effect can be unpredicable periods, I would much to some extent I got none instead of bleeding for like 3 weeks of the month, but if i they are commonplace thats fine too but I was just wondering what other peoples period have been resembling on Implanon

hi, i have had 3 implanons immediately and each one has be a bit different. the first implanon, i had my periods for the first few months afterwards they basically went away. They be so light that i barely notice them and it only lasted three days a month. Then my second implanon, i have irregular, but light periods for a couple of months later they dissapeared completely for over 2 years. So awesome. I have had my third one contained by now for around 1 month and have have no period yet. Hopefully it stays that method. Fingers crossed!

My last period beside implanon lasted nearly four weeks then stopped, after i had a few days of spotting and ive not had anything since, however within normal circumstances i should be due for one soon but i'll just enjoy to wait and see what happens (fingers crossed they will stop lol) Thats adjectives you can do really and be prepared always!! xx

Women beside PCOS?

own been on implanon for about 3 months very soon and my period has be a bit here and there i have be having a period witch last just a couple of days but at the moment seems to be coming every two or 3 weeks i am told this will settle down.

I haven't tried implanton but enjoy had birth control pills and the shot cause indistinguishable problems for me. I've heard it will eventually straighten itself out but I personally never have the patience to find out.

Implanon birth control concerns?

Iv had mine 18 months and i bleed for 3 weeks consequently have a week off and after back to bleeding for 3 weeks again.
It my only contraception alternative though, unfortunately!
