Can birth control stop me from having kids
Answers: Do you mean make you infertile (unable to conceive later on)??
The answer is not a simple yes or no, but as a general rule, contraception won't TYPICALLY prevent future family planning.
The biggest problem that occurs is infection (from an STD) that blocks the fallopian tubes. Women who use contraception are less likely to use condoms in a new relationship and so leave themselves open to the possibility of infections.
Also, some methods of contraception (specifically the IUD) can cause scarring at the fallopian entrance, again causing blockage so that the egg cannot meet with sperm.
So to answer your question simply, no birth control won't permanently prevent you from having children...just temporarily...which is it's whole purpose..
It really depends on the type of birth control you use. Most of them are over 98% effective while you use them.
Studies have shown no long-lasting effects on fertility after using the pill. It usually takes about a month to clear your system completely.
Depo (the shot) has been linked to difficulties conceiving, but there isn't much concrete proof that it will make it impossible. It may take over a year for your cycle to return to normal, so conception during that time may be very difficult, though..
It is to protect you from getting pregnant
but at the same time you are not clear.
Do you mean while you are on it
Or after you stop using it?
Bc while you are on it.. you have a high percent of not getting pregnant
and i cant tell you what the percentage is bc i dont know what method
of B.C you are on.
But if you are OFF
or want to get off..
its about 6 months to a year
before you can get pregnant..
(although do not forget every woman is different).
No, as it is only 99 per cent protected when using it as directed.
Which means any time you have sex you can get pregnant.
The only 100 per cent effective method is abstinence.
I know women who have gotten pregnant on depo as well as immediately after stopping depo, as well as many needing a fertility specialists help in conceiving. Depo is horrible..
you can stop them whenever you please and still have babies. however, the depo shot will not let you get pregnanct for about a year after being off of it. duh of a course, but as soon you stop birth control you back to normal, you should be specific in your question..
Um... that's what they're for...
