Can a beneath alive thyroid be the create of attitude hungry 24/7 even if you of late ate seriously?

I am 16 and my doctor told me last week that I have a underneath active thyroid and I am going to schedule a appointment beside a endocrinologist as soon as I can. I was wondering, though, I ALWAYS feel hungry. I could chomp through [but I don't] 1,000 calories in one meal and grain hungry [almost starving] within a half hour. I am overweight and I abominate it. I have been limiting my calories to 1,500 a light of day and at the end of the night my stomach is growling and I quality like I have not eat in two weeks. Can a under helpful thyroid be the cause of feeling hungry 24/7 even if you newly ate a lot? Thanks.

Answers:    I too suffer from hypothyroidism and I never have have the problem of being constantly hungry. If anything I usually ate less but couldn't lose freight to save my life. What's more promising is that you are not getting enough calories to sustain you so your body is letting you know that you aren't eating adequate by giving you hunger pains.

When you go to see the endocrinologist (I hope your doctor at least prescribed thyroid replacement till you see the specialist) speak to him or her in the order of the number of calories that you SHOULD be eating. You are still growing and 1,500 calories a day may not be adequate for you. The endocrinologist can recommend a diet that will help you lose weight but at one and the same time keep you feeling full. One drinking plan that works wonders (and it did for me when I was your age) was Weight Watchers. They donate you so much food to eat that there be times that I just couldn't eat it adjectives in one day.

Food screening is very important too as is portion control. You will find that once your thyroid is lower than control when you do diet (which you need to make a lifestyle modify - not a diet cause diets don't work) that the weight will come sour more quickly than it did before.

Good luck, honey!.
