Birth control alternative?

I am married and curious of an alternative birth control to the pill? I have been on the pill a total of 11 years, minus the time I be pregnant with my son. I have other suffered a lot of side affects and would like something that doesn't involve hormone level. What have people tried? Any point sucessful? Anything new I may not have hear about? Also, how can I obtain different items or bring back more information? Thanks!!

Which brand of birth control made your boobs grow?

I have seen commercials and other ad in magazines for these IUD's I chew over they are very interesting and I believe they would be a good alternative to oral birth control. It is a bit 'T' shaped device that is inserted into your uterus and it prevents eggs from being released. I would ask your doctor almost them, they seem easy and important. The IUD stays in for 5-8 years or less if you'd approaching. No spermicide or anything messy. Here is a little info about it:

These are contraceptive devices which are placed inside the uterus. They are usually shaped resembling a "T" — the arms of the T hold the device in place. There are two main types of intrauterine contraceptives: those that contain copper (which have a spermicidal effect), and those that release a progestogen (in the US the term progestin is used).

The terminology used for these devices differs surrounded by the United Kingdom and the United States. In the US, all devices which are placed in the uterus to prevent pregnancy are referred to as intra-uterine devices (IUDs) or intra-uterine contraceptive devices (IUCDs). In the UK, simply copper-containing devices are called IUDs (or IUCDs), and hormonal intrauterine contraceptives are referred to with the occupancy Intra-Uterine System (IUS). This may be because there are seven types of copper IUDs available in the UK, compared to one and only one in the US.

How do you know that you necessitate to be in motion to the hospital? any NURSES availabe? Or anyone who know Like a MOM?

the pill, the patch, injections and implants (though i hear implants were no longer on the flea market...but i haven't looked to see if this was true). These are all hormone base birth control. However, if you have side effects using one form, you can try another and you may not experience the same side effects.

Other option are barrier methods such as the condom or the diaphragm (sp?). The diaphram can be inserted over the cervex before you own sex and if used with spermicide is maybe 90% successful. You have to go to a dr to win fitted.

There is the IUD that is a small T shaped devise that gets placed surrounded by the uterus. very effective, and since you hold had a child its an option.

Then you hold your natural methods that have to do beside understanding your menstral cycle.if you know when you have ovulated after you know when you are fertil. There are various ways to do this, check your vaginal discharge, check the temperature, etc. you can probably find information on this if you google innate birth control methods. However, for this to be effective you have to be of a mind to avoid sex on certain days or use a condom during those days. And its not very forceful if you don't understand the method very very well.

Really big discharge what should I do?

Intra-uterine deviced (IUD) are very recommendable to you. They are safe surrounded by contraception, hormone-free and you will not have to think in the region of contraception again for several years.

Highly recommended.

(Do not mix up with hormone-based IUD that exist, too. The copper-based are hormone-free and excellent.)

Dont deduce Im dumb, GIRLS ONLY?

Being on the pill a total of 11 years is a long time. You didn't mention the age of your son. Is there a haphazard you want more children? If not, why not consider tubal ligation. (having your tubes tied). That way, there's no need for birth control pills, condoms, etc.
If you are planning on have more children, you can always ask your husband to use condoms.
