Girls...serve me out...IUD strings?

When i went for my twelve-monthly yesterday the doc said he couldn't find my strings..."they have no where on earth to go, so they are fine." he said, later he turned around and prescribed me a antibotic "just incase the strings effect a infection..."

My questions is.i am simply on my 2nd yr...(mirena iud) and it seems that i don't own infection yet. So should i really bear the antibotics? I don't like to embezzle antibotics, they make me get the impression like crap.and how can i appropriate meds for something non-exsist (infection)

And should i be concerned about MIA strings?

Thanks surrounded by advance!

Answers:    I can relate you from examining IUDs that the strings are actually sometimes poorly tied on, or possibly bring loose with use. They are shrill like fishing rank or thick thread. When they want to receive yours out and if the strings are the wrong way or missing, they can lately grab the stop of the IUD directly, which is just a few centimeters above where on earth the string would be anyway.

Anyway, he wants you to help yourself to antibiotics so you don't get pelvic inflammatory disease which can affect your likelihood of getting pregnant in the adjectives if you want to. Maybe he could have swabbed you and done cultures first, next prescribed what you might need, if anything.
Ordinarily, I'd utter do what the doc tells ya! But within this case, it is indubitably worth telling him what you told us...Make an appt asap and ask him to clarify the stipulation for antibiotics...before you run up the prescription...
