Ankle anguish? Cheering starts tomorrow...

Hello! First of all, I hope you all are have a wonderful day!! (Or have have a wonderful day depending on where you are.)

Now to my problem. This morning I woke up and my right ankle hurt. I get up and i tried to walk on it and it hurt worse then when I sprained (correct grammer???) 5 years ago. I thought that I don`t know it just hurt because I slept wrong so I went down and iced it for going on for 2 hours. It got worse. It's not swollen or bruised or anything, but it's throbing and that kind of stuff. I be running around A LOT yesterday with my little cousins, so I could have done something later, but I didn't fall and twist it or anything approaching that.

Cheering practice starts tomorrow and night and I would like to join. My mom said that if it doesn't feel better by tomorrow she'll take me to the doctor. I'm of late wondering what it could be.

Thank you so so much!!

Answers:    Without any obvious traumatic injury, it's really a toss up. The doctor is the right person to put together that call. You could have merely strained some ligaments, or you could have a small fracture somewhere--usually that would have bruising, though. As vital as cheering probably is to you, it'll be important to take contemplation of your ankle first so you don't get long-term damage. Good luck!.
