After 8 months of have an episiotomy, should that nouns still hurt or be tender?

I had my baby 8 months ago and I have an episiotomy. That area still feels tender/sensitive to me. What does this be a sign of? Do I need to get it "restitched"? Please serve!

Answers:    You need to contact your doctor and get an appointment. Several side effects of episiotomy enjoy been reported, including infection, increased pain, prolonged recuperative time, and increased discomfort once sexual intercourse is resumed. There is also the risk that the episiotomy incision will be deeper or longer than is necessary to permit the birth of the infant.
