Can breasts be (easily) damaged from impact?

I read a story in a local broadsheet about a retired female soccer player who very soon has trouble with her breasts (eg, breastfeeding) due to taking impact from a soccer globe. I think it said that it damaged her breast tissue.

Anyway, I be just wondering would that be common.
