Does birth control affect the oiliness of skin?
Answers: yes it reduce it, birth control pills are used for acne.
Please be sure to check with your doctor nearly all possible side effects, especially of the Ortho Tri Cyclen.
A woman we know go on this to clear up her skin. She was not a high-risk individual - her bulk was average, non-smoker, lower than 35..and one morning she woke up and was not sufficiently expert to move the left side of her body. The Ortho Tri Cyclen triggered a massive stroke. That be a year ago...she is still working to recover her vigour.
To answer your question directly, yes it should affect that because hormones are a contributing factor to the problem. There's no agency of knowing for sure until after you've taken it for awhile, but again please be sure to discuss all possible risks and side effects beside your doctor first. There are other options available to you.
Don't be panicky by the post about the woman beside the stroke. Risk of stroke does increase on the pill, but anyone can have a stroke no concern what type of birth control they're on or even if they're not on it at all. I be on Ortho Tri-Cylin for years with no problems. You should discuss it near your doctor and decide for yourself, but I believe the advantages FAR outweigh the risks.
My skin isn't outstandingly oily so I didn't thought a difference, but I get immensely few pimples because of the pill. I'd guess it would help though.
yeah prob ask your doc when u start it
