I would surprise her if I were you by recounting your story to your local newspaper reporter (you can find his/her signature inside the newspaper) The reporter can call your mom, and articulate that YOU suggested they do a story about your huge people, with your mom as the star, and that they'd close to to do a write up for the 'human interest section' of the local paper, and when would it be convient to come to your house to do an interview and to whip photographs? When you see your story published in the daily, take several copies of the 'write-up', and email them along next to a hand written communication from you, to several different television stations. You find different collaborate shows to write to, etc.. by doing research at your public library. They will have adjectives the contact information you need. Best of luck dear.
