What are the contents that are taken from the uterus during a D&C?



Answers:    D & C stands for dilation and curettage . The cervix is dilated and then the inside of the uterus is scraped using a curette. The contents may include a fetus, however, frequent women have d&c's when they are not pregnant. Then, they may include polyps and/ or endometrial lining/ tissue. This is other a bloody procedure.
