Bloody Discharge?

Recently, my discharge was bloody for around a week leading up my time starting.
Then, right on schedule my cycle started up.

I'm on the Ortho Evra patch, I own been for several years.
At first, I thought I may hold screwed up my birth control and missed the placebo week but I haven't.

I'm wondering what could have cause such a thing and what I can do to prevent it from up again.
Is it a sign of something more serious or is it just my body's track of purging a little...

Answers:    Your body won't "purge" menstrual blood, as it would excessive marine.

What you have is call breakthrough bleeding, or your body overriding the hormone barrier contained by place (breaking through).

The most likely create would be that your body's chemistry has in synch to the hormones contained in the patch and you requirement a higher dosage of hormones...which I don't believe is available within patch form. If you have this problem repetitively, after you may need to disregard the patch and use regular hormone pills.
